Erkki Rautio (a.k.a. pHinn) has probably
done more than anyone else to promote new Finnish experimental
music internationally through the famous pHinnweb site he founded
in 1996. The website is brimming with fervent music fandom, straightforward
net journalism and foul-mouthed anti-establishment statements.
Rautio is also known as a DJ, specialising in “exp.noiseclectro
vs. sci-fi lounge (sometimes also: antimusik, metanoise, humppa’n’bass).”
At the Avanto Club in Gloria he will spin Finnish music from the
past decade. AN
